MP Manish Tewari listened to the public's problems at Shivalik Garden and assured them of every possible solution.
Manimajra/Chandigarh 17 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Local MP Manish Tiwari and Congress President Harmohinder Singh Lucky made a special visit to Shivalik Garden in Sector 13, Manimajra, and met local residents, elderly people, women and children, and listened seriously to the public problems of the area. On this occasion, the residents sat with the MP in Shivalik Garden and discussed in detail the problems related to the area and the necessary facilities . Addressing the people, Manish Tiwari said that it is his responsibility to raise the problems of the public on a priority basis. He said that every possible effort will be made for the development of the Manimajra area and to provide better facilities to the people.
The MP said that the BJP has been in power in the Municipal Corporation for the last almost 9 years, but many important issues related to the public are still pending. He appealed to the people to support the Congress Party candidates in the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections, so that the development works of the city can get a new direction and momentum. During this, a demand was made to install CCTV cameras to strengthen the security system in Shivalik Garden. On this demand, Manish Tiwari said that the safety of the people is his first priority. The MP said that a proposal should be prepared on behalf of the RWA or all of you respected elders and sent through former Mayor Sardar Surendra Singh, so that appropriate action can be taken by discussing with the concerned departments.People informed the MP about the problem of drinking water. Manish Tiwari said that questions were raised from the very first day regarding the 24-hour water pilot project in Manimajra. Even today, many people are not receiving the expected benefits. He assured that effective steps will be taken to resolve the problem by talking to the concerned department. In Shivalik Garden, people also raised their concerns regarding the park's facilities. People said that the lack of drinking water in the park, the need for improved sanitation, poor washrooms, and washrooms that are often locked, are causing problems for people. Furthermore, demands were made for an additional washroom and an open-air theater.
The MP listened to all the concerns seriously and assured that issues of public interest would be discussed with the concerned officials soon. He urged people to submit written proposals so that the appropriate process could be initiated to resolve the issues. On this occasion, residents expressed hope that the MP's intervention would resolve the long-standing problems of the Manimajra area and accelerate development work. Present on the occasion were former Mayor and Party Vice President Sardar Surendra Singh, President Surjit Singh Dhillon, Secretary Imran Mansoori, Block Congress Committee President Sanjeev Gaba, Secretary Bua Singh, Vice President Rajbir Singh Bhartiya, Secretary Abhijeet Singh Saini, S.S. Parwan, Sahil Chawar, Net Ram, Pandit Pradeep Gautam, Block President Matloob Khan, Ram Prakash Chaudhary Abhijeet Saini, Ram Swaroop, Rajendra Jaglan, Ram Chander Pannu, Hardeep Singh, Ramdhari Sir, Amarjeet, Balkrishna Sharma, and other dignitaries.
