CU Punjab Student Prakash Pandey Selected for Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament National Round, to Present Views in Parliament
Bathinda 12 June ( PDL ) : Prakash Pandey, a first-year LL.M. student of the Department of Law and an active volunteer of the National Service Scheme (NSS) at the Central University of Punjab (CUP), has been selected for the National Round of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament. The prestigious event will be held from June 15 to 17 at the Central Hall of Parliament House, New Delhi, where selected youth representatives from across the country will present their views on issues of national importance. The programme is expected to be attended by the Hon’ble Prime Minister and several Union Ministers. The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament is organized in three stages—District, State, and National. Winners at the district level earn the opportunity to present their views in the State Legislative Assembly, while state-level winners advance to the national stage and participate in the Youth Parliament held in the Parliament House.
Prakash Pandey secured first position in the district-level competition held at Guru Kashi University, earning his place in the state-level round. Subsequently, he once again emerged as the winner at the State-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, organized at Kisan Bhawan, Chandigarh, thereby securing his selection for the national-level event. Notably, Prakash has previously brought laurels to the university by winning the Gold Medal and securing first position at the national level in the Hindi Language Competition during the AIU National Youth Festival held in Chennai.
Congratulating Prakash on this remarkable achievement, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Punjab, Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, said, “Talented students like Prakash are invaluable assets to the university.
