Field employees of Mansa held a meeting to prepare for the struggle
Mansa 20 June ( PDL ) : A meeting of field employees of PWD Field and Workshop Workers Union Punjab of District Mansa was held under the chairmanship of State General Secretary Phuman Singh Kathgarh. The state leader said that a protest march will be held on July 21 at Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema's assembly constituency Dirba regarding the demands of field employees working in various wings. Because despite four meetings of the organization with the Finance Minister, the same issue is not being resolved, such as regularizing all kinds of raw employees in various departments, regularizing in-listing and contractual system employees within the department, increasing the salaries of raw employees until the regularization process is completed, restoring the old pension and bringing Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board employees under the pension ambit as per the government notification, which is being continuously postponed, thousands of vacant posts in the Water Supply, Sanitation, Sewerage Board, Water Resources Department, B, E, R departments are not being filled regularly, unnecessary delay is being caused in giving jobs to the heirs of employees in death cases. Water supply schemes are being privatized and Panchayati zed.
Addressing the meeting, PSSF state leaders Kishore Chand Gaj and Sukhchain Singh Bathinda, Sinderpal Mansa, said that a large number of field employees from Mansa district were appealed to participate in the protest rally to be held by the state committee in the constituency of the Finance Minister. In the meeting, with the formation of two branches in Mansa, the old district committee was dissolved and a new executive district committee was elected in which a seven-member team including District President Jagga Singh Alisher, General Secretary Darshan Singh Nangal, Secretary Balraj Singh was elected. Along with this, two separate branches A and B were selected in Mansa and the field employees were motivated for the struggle. Amar Singh Mohil and Gurjant Singh, presidents of A and B branches, said that we will coordinate with the district committee and make the division level and circle level rallies successful on a large scale as per the decision of the state committee regarding the demands of the employees. Today's meeting was also addressed by Janak Singh Mansa, Sukhdev Kotli, Subhash Kumar Nouhar Chand and other leaders.
