Patiala 20 June ( PDL ) : The meeting of the Forest Workers Union Punjab, a militant organization of forest, wildlife and corporation workers affiliated to the Punjab Subordinate Services Federation, was held under the chairmanship of state president Amrik Singh Gharsankar. The government has not even given salaries to these workers for the last three months, due to which the forest department The children of the workers are suffering from hunger and their old parents are suffering due to lack of medicine.
There is a lot of unrest among the field workers of the Forest Department. In the decision of the Honorable High Court on *26.02.2024*, the aerial arrears of the colleagues who have been made, but the government released the arrears of some junior workers and what was the government supposed to do to the senior workers, the aerial arrears of those workers were also not credited to the accounts of these workers and this is the first time that the Aam Aadmi Government has not paid the salaries of the forest workers for the last several months. And they are unable to educate their children due to not getting their children admitted in schools. The decisions of the Honorable Courts are being flouted by the government.

Due to which the organization decided that with the support of the federation, the demands mentioned in the demand letter, such as the government has not yet made 14 workers who completed 10 years in 2006 permanent and 519 senior illiterate workers have not been made permanent, to make all those workers permanent without conditions, to provide full-scale salaries to the workers who were given appointment letters by the Chief Minister on July 30, to update the seniority list of the department's workers till March 31, 2026, to run new works in the department, not to get the works of the department done by MNREGA workers and contractors, to keep new workers on work in the department, to release the arrears of the insignificant increase in minimum wages and other demands mentioned in the demand letter were not resolved and the demands were not resolved by the Forest Minister by holding a meeting with the organization on June 24, 2026. Forced organization On June 26, a protest will be held in Bhoa (Pathankot) assembly constituency with the support of the Subordinate Services Federation.
