Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann should intervene immediately
S.A.S.Nagar 3 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : There is a huge protest among the people due to the long-standing basic problems of the residents of Preet City Sector-86 not being resolved. Due to the negligence of GMADA and the concerned administrative officials, the residents are being forced to struggle for their rights and stage a sit-in on June 10.
Ward No. 41 Councilor Gurpreet Kaur Ubha and BJP leader Hardev Singh Ubha, State Press Secretary BJP Punjab said that the residents of Preet City have been demanding resolution of many serious issues including basic facilities and unapproved plots for the last several years, but no concrete step has been taken by the government and the administration.
They said that in a democracy, it is the responsibility of the government to listen to the legitimate demands of the people and resolve them. If the problems are not resolved soon, the anger of the residents may increase further and they will be forced to take the path of struggle, for which the full responsibility will be of GMADA and the administration.
He appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to intervene immediately in this matter and issue instructions to the concerned departments to resolve the problems of the residents of Preet City at the earliest so that the people do not have to take the path of dharna and struggle on June 10.
