Jalandhar/Chandigarh 17 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit President Giani Harpreet Singh said that today many Sikh political parties have achieved complete unity under the common Punjab agenda. He said that apart from Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit, the leaders of United Akali Dal, International Panthak Akali Dal and Begampura Khalsa Raj Party attended this meeting today. The meeting held at the Gurudwara of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji in Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Jalandhar was attended by the patron of Shiromani Akali Dal-Resurjit Ravinder Singh, Secretary General Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Bibi Jagir Kaur Sucha Singh Chhotepur, President of United Akali Dal Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, Buta Singh Ransingh, President of Panthic Akali Dal Singh Sahib Bhai Jasvir Singh Rode and President of Begampura Khalsa Raj Party Gurinder Singh Bajwa. After serious deliberations, all these leaders agreed that if the long-pending issues of Panth Punjab are to be resolved, then everyone will have to come together under one flag under a common agenda. All the leaders expressed their views on strengthening Panthic unity in the meeting.
Wadala said that the foundation of unity has been laid with today's meeting, gradually all the parties dedicated to Sri Akal Takht Sahib will be taken into the Panthic fold. Gurpartap Singh Wadala said that party president Giani Harpreet Singh honored all the party presidents and leaders by giving them Siropas. He said that all the leaders announced to follow the revival unconditionally. In today's meeting, apart from the above leaders, leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal Resurgence Sarwan Singh Phillaur, Bibi Harjit Kaur Talwandi, Kulwinder Singh, Jaswinder Singh Jassa, Yuvraj Singh Begowal, Gurwinder Singh Jhabal, Office Secretary Jagjit Singh Kohli and Media Incharge Tajinder Singh Pannu, Sant Charanjit Singh Jassowal of International Panthic Akali Dal, Jatinder Singh Isru of United Akali Dal, Bahadur Singh Bharta, Rashpal Singh Chandigarh, Sarabjit Singh Dhuri and Sarabjit Singh Allal etc. were present.
