Srimad Bhagwat Katha Concludes with Devotion; Community Feast Organized for Devotees
On the final day, the narrator and devotees praised the temple committee's efforts.
S.A.S.Nagar 13 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The seven-day Srimad Bhagwat Katha, held at the Shri Durga Mata Temple in Phase-10, Mohali, concluded on a high note of faith, devotion, and enthusiasm. During the closing ceremony, the narrator, the highly revered Vijay Shastri Ji, shared the life story of Lord Krishna and messages regarding righteousness (Dharma), truth, and human welfare. He emphasized that listening to the Srimad Bhagwat Katha brings positive transformation to a person's life and inspires them to walk the path of virtue.
The final day’s narrative covered the story of Sudama, the salvation of King Parikshit, and the significance (*Mahatmya*) of the Bhagwat. This was followed by the *Purnahuti* (concluding offering) *Havan* and *Yajna*. A large number of devotees participated—including Temple Committee President Rajesh Sharma, General Secretary JP Tokhi, and Jagmohan Dogra, alongside the committee's team and the Women's *Sankirtan* Group led by President Smt. Meena Saini—offering prayers for their families' prosperity and the welfare of the world. The closing ceremony also featured *Aarti*, a shower of flower petals, and devotional singing (*Bhajan-Kirtan*). Overcome with emotion, devotees chanted praises to Lord Krishna. The organizers honored the narrator, guests, and contributors with mementos and certificates of appreciation.
Hundreds of devotees partook in the *Bhandara* (community feast/Mahaprasad) organized on the occasion. The organizers expressed their gratitude to all the devotees, donors, volunteers, and local residents who helped make the event a success. Attendees remarked that the Srimad Bhagwat Katha provided them with spiritual peace, religious knowledge, and inspiration to lead a better life. A devotional atmosphere prevailed throughout the area, and the surroundings resonated with the chants of Lord Krishna's name. 
During the conclusion of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha, the narrator (Katha Vyas), the highly revered Vijay Shastri Ji, and the devotees praised the temple committee's efforts; they noted that the temple has been progressing rapidly since this committee took charge, and devotees face no difficulties whatsoever. Meanwhile, the incumbent temple committee president, Rajesh Sharma, and his team assured everyone that a strict account is maintained for every penny of donation received, and the congregation's funds are utilized solely for the congregation's benefit. They pledged to organize future religious events on an even grander scale and with superior arrangements.
