Harvel Singh Madhopur Appointed President of Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit SC Wing : Wadala
Chandigarh 17 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : In accordance with the directions of Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit President Giani Harpreet Singh, the party’s General Secretary, Gurpratap Singh Wadala, has appointed Harvel Singh Madhopur as the President of the party’s SC Wing. Wadala stated that Harvel Singh Madhopur is a well-educated, honest, and hardworking person, holding M.A., B.Ed., and LL.B. degrees. With extensive administrative experience, he is a retired District Education Officer (Secondary) and has also served as a Principal at several institutions.
Madhopur has also served as the General Secretary of a teachers’ union and the Bharatiya Minority and Dalit Front. At present, along with his association with Shiromani Akali Dal Punar Surjit, he continues to work with several other social organizations. Keeping in view his services, dedication, and fighting spirit, the party has appointed him as the President of its SC Wing. Along with assigning him this responsibility, the party has directed him to mobilize and strengthen the organizational structure of the SC Wing at the district level at the earliest.
