GIEAIA seeks merger of four public sector general insurers Chandigarh 25 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The General Insurance Employees All India Association (GIEAIA) on Friday launched its outreach campaign in Chandigarh, seeking merger of the four public sector general insurance companies into a single public sector insurance corporation on the lines of LIC. Representatives of the Association’s Class 1, 3, 4 and Pensioners Wings visited various offices and interacted with employees and officers. They discussed key issues facing public sector insurers, including recruitment, non-core benefits, promotion policies and the Association’s future action plan.
