Preparations for July 9 strike by Federation of UT Employees and Workers Chandigarh in full swing

Chandigarh 30 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Preparations for the strike to be held on 9 July 2025 on the call of the Federation of UT Employees and Workers Chandigarh are going on in full swing. In this regard, gate meetings were held today in Electricity Office Industrial Area Phase 1 and 2 and MC Horticulture Booth Sector 33 and 36 and Road Bhoot Sector 16 and appealed to the employees to make the strike of 9 July 2025 successful.

Rajendran, General Secretary Prempal, Pradhan Toplan, etc. Speakers said that 9th July strike: Repeal of all four labor codes against labor and employees, Repeal of PFRDA Act. Restoration of Old Pension Inclusion of EPS-95 pensioners in OPS, regularization of all types of outsourced contract workers, employment of unemployed in all vacant posts through regular recruitment, stop privatization of PSUs and shrinking of government departments, issuance of 8th pay commission notification and formation of state pay commissions, release of frozen DA-DR of 18 months of employees and pensioners and all arrears of DA In support of the central demands of paying installments, implementing a comprehensive health insurance scheme with the help of the government, providing cashless treatment to employees, pensioners and contract workers in all hospitals, repealing the National Education Policy (NEP), repealing Articles 310, 311(2)(a), (b), (c) of the Constitution, and implementing the report of the Seventh Pay Commission, expeditious payment of arrears to all UT and MC employees.
