Chandigarh Shines Through the Lens: FOTO 2025 Unveils Visual Brilliance

27 Photographers, 120 Frames, One Vision — FOTO 2025 Captures Chandigarh’s Creative Spirit

Chandigarh 31 October ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria today inaugurated the members annual group exhibition – FOTO 2025 of the Photographic Society of Chandigarh (PSC), showcasing the artistic vision and photographic mastery of its members at Punjab Kala Bhawan in Sector 16 here. With a legacy of over 33 years of creative excellence, this year’s exhibition features the works of 27 talented photographers, displaying around 120 captivating photographs across diverse genres – from landscapes and portraits to street and fine art photography. Each image reflects the unique perspective and creative expression of its author, beautifully presented in high-quality prints. The Governor, Gulab Chand Kataria, said, “Photography is an art that preserves fleeting moments, expresses emotions, and possesses a unique ability to highlight the extraordinary in the ordinary. Through diversity in themes such as landscape, wildlife, portrait, and macro photography, photographers introduce us to their talent, sensitivity, and unique perspective. Such exhibitions not only provide a platform for artistic expression but also inspire others to view the world with a new vision and curiosity.” Kailash Sharma, President of PSC, said, “It’s once again time for all the members of the Photographic Society of Chandigarh (PSC) to share their finest creative works with photo enthusiasts across the region.” Adding to the experience, three free photography workshops will be conducted by Dr. Sudheer Saxena, Amarbir Singh, and renowned celebrity photographer Dheeraj Paul (in association with SONY). These sessions will offer valuable insights and live demonstrations for photography lovers and aspiring professionals, informed the society president. In addition, up to 20 digital works by each member will be showcased through a special projection display, providing a dynamic visual experience. The Photographic Society of Chandigarh has invited all art and photography lovers to join and celebrate this vibrant visual journey at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Chandigarh, from 31st October to 2nd November 2025 from 11 am to 7 pm.
