Property Consultants Welcome Reopening of Share-Wise Registry, Seek Clarity on Status

Chandigarh 6 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A delegation of the Property Consultant Association led by president Vikram Chopra, chief patron Kamal Gupta, chairman Trilochan Bittu, general secretary Jatinder Singh, along with Raman Bajaj and Anil, met Member of Parliament Satnam Singh Sandhu. During the meeting, the delegation welcomed the decision of the Chandigarh administration to reopen the share-wise registry system in the city. They said the move would bring relief to both property dealers and the general public, as the suspension of registries for a long period had caused significant inconvenience to people.

However, the delegation also raised the issue that in Parliament the Government of India had clearly stated that there has been no change in the status of Chandigarh and that no sector in the city has been declared as heritage, except the Capitol Complex. In this regard, the association urged the administration to provide complete clarity so that confusion among the public can be avoided. MP Satnam Singh Sandhu assured the delegation that he would raise the matter at the appropriate level and work towards an appropriate resolution.
