SBI Officer Association Chandigarh Circle, Organises 3rd Annual Walkathon to Mark International Women’s Day
Chandigarh 8 March ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The State Bank of India Officers' Association organised the 3rd edition of its Annual Walkathon at Sector 17 to commemorate International Women’s Day, reaffirming its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 200 employees and their family members, who walked together in solidarity to promote the message of gender equality, inclusivity, and empowerment of women in society and the workplace.
The walkathon was flagged off by Krishan Sharma, Chief General Manager, SBI, Chandigarh Circle, in the presence of senior officials including General Managers, Deputy General Managers, office bearers of the Association, and members of the fraternity.
General Secretary Priyvrat and President Rajiv Sirhindi, shared that every year such programs are being organised by the association.
Addressing the participants on the occasion, Krishan Sharma emphasised the importance of creating an inclusive work culture where women are empowered to lead, innovate, and contribute equally to organisational growth. He appreciated the efforts of the Association in organising such initiatives that not only promote health and wellness but also strengthen the collective commitment towards gender equality. The walkathon concluded on a spirited note, with participants reaffirming their dedication to building a more equitable and inclusive society.
