Reacting to Mann dismissing the Akal Takht edict on him, Warring said, while he (the Chief Minister) has every right to defend himself and present his point of view, he could have done it without resorting to such defiance that seeks to undermine the authority of the Akal Takht. “Such confrontation is avoidable”, he remarked. Meeting regarding preparations for 12th World Punjabi Conference was successful
Ontario May 31 (PDL): A special meeting was held by Ontario Friends Club and Jagat Punjabi Sabha on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Satkar Banquet Hall to celebrate Father's Day and prepare for the 12th World Punjabi Conference under the chairmanship of Sardul Singh Thiara. The meeting was conducted by Chairman Ajaib Singh Chatha. During the meeting, it was decided that ten prominent fathers of the society will be honored for their family, social and community services on the occasion of Father's Day. Along with this, a detailed review of the preparations for the 12th World Punjabi Conference was taken and discussions were held to make it more effective and memorable.
The members present in the meeting presented their valuable suggestions and ideas to make Father's Day and the World Punjabi Conference a success. On this occasion, eminent writers and social workers Tahir Aslam Gora and Halima Sadiya were also specially honored. The meeting was attended by Chief Advisor of the Conference Bhupinder Singh Bajwa, OFC President Santokh Singh Sandhu, Piara Singh Kadowal, Gurcharan Singh, Happy Mangat, Rupinder Kaur Sandhu, Balwinder Kaur Chatha, Tripta Sodhi, Tarlok Singh Kahlon, Rachpal Singh Kunar, Tajinder Singh Cheema, Gurdarshan Singh Seera, Gurvel Singh, Dhillon Sahib, Sehaj Kaur Mangat, Mandeep Kaur Mangat, Davinder Singh Ladhar, Ajit Singh Bhall, Iftikhar Chaudhary and many other members. All the attendees reiterated their resolve to make the events a success with the spirit of unity, cooperation and dedication. The meeting was very meaningful, constructive and successful, giving new impetus and direction to the preparations for the Father's Day event and the 12th World Punjabi Conference.
