S.A.S.Nagar 10 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) :The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee is celebrating "Sirhind Fateh Diwas" with reverence and enthusiasm at Gurdwara Shri Fateh-e-Jung Sahib, Chappadchiri Kalan (Mohali). In this connection, the Sri Akhand Path Sahib was initiated today. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee member Bibi Paramjit Kaur Ji Ladran appealed to the Sangat to attend the programme in large numbers and said that the great general of the Sikh community, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, had conquered Sirhind by defeating Wajid Khan in the field of Chappadchhiri, in whose memory this day is celebrated every year.
He informed that the offerings of Sri Akhand Path Sahib will be made at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12th. Following this, a massive Fateh March will be taken out from Chappadchhiri to Fatehgarh Sahib. On this occasion, a meeting of the coordination committee of various Gurudwaras of Mohali city was also held, in which many religious and social personalities including Akali Dal leader Gurkirpal Singh Sidhu were present.
