Nagar 22 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Following the guidelines of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and upholding the vision of the party high command, Punjab’s former Health Minister, Balbir Singh Sidhu, handed over the appointment letter to senior leader Narinder Pal Singh as the District Vice President of the OBC Cell during a special event today. This appointment has been made under the leadership and directives of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, with the objective of making the party structure more active and stronger at the grassroots level. On the occasion of handing over the appointment letter, Rajinder Singh Dharamgarh, Chairman of the OBC Cell, was also present as a special guest, under whose leadership the operations of the cell are gaining momentum.
Addressing journalists and party workers, former Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said that the Congress Party has always respected hardworking, honest, and loyal leaders from every section of society. He stated that in today’s political era, where the organization requires leaders who can live up to the expectations of the people, assigning this critical responsibility to a well-grounded leader like Narinder Pal Singh will further boost party activities within the district. Sidhu extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed District Vice President, Narinder Pal Singh, for this significant responsibility. He expressed hope that he would fulfill this duty assigned by the party with complete hard work, determination, honesty, and dedication. He added:
"I am fully confident that Narinder Pal Singh Ji will prominently raise the issues of the OBC community and will make an important and valuable contribution toward making the party organization even stronger than before." Rajinder Singh Dharamgarh, Chairman of the OBC Cell, who arrived specially for the event, also extended his best wishes to the newly appointed official. He stated that under the leadership of Raja Warring Ji, Punjab Congress is continuously providing equal representation to every section of society. In the coming times, the OBC Cell will reach out to every district, constituency, and village level in Punjab to propagate the party's policies.
Following his appointment, Narinder Pal Singh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Punjab Pradesh Congress President, Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, former Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu, and Chairman Rajinder Singh Dharamgarh. He assured the high command that he would not break the trust reposed in him and would work day and night for the strengthening of the party.
