Request for re-hearing in Janta Darbar for implementation of HKRN policy for employment security of outsourcing employees. Chandigarh 28 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : GMCH New Contractor Workers Union, Sector-32 Chandigarh has made a written request to His Excellency the Administrator, Chandigarh UT for a fresh hearing in the Janta Darbar. Press Secretary of the Union, Vikram Singh informed that on 20-08-2025, in the Janta Darbar, a proposal was placed before His Excellency the Administrator to implement a secure employment policy like the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam (HKRN) model of the Haryana Government for the benefit of all outsourcing employees of GMCH Chandigarh. Adopting this policy will save the Chandigarh Administration crores of rupees annually in the form of a 3.85% monthly commission paid to service providers for inexperienced work, and increase the administration's revenue. Free medical check-up and lung health camp organized in Sector-42

Chandigarh 28 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A free medical check-up and lung health camp was organized on Sunday at the Community Center, Sector 42, Chandigarh, under the joint aegis of Manav Kalyan Parisar, Rotary Club Chandigarh, and DV Care Foundation. The camp was inaugurated by Paramjit Singh, President of the Resident Welfare Association, by lighting a lamp. Councillor and former Senior Deputy Mayor Jasbir Singh Bunty was the chief guest at the event. A large number of local residents participated in the event, got their health checked, and benefited from the health camp.
The camp provided a variety of healthcare services free of charge, including sugar testing, blood pressure, eye check-ups, dental check-ups, ECGs, physiotherapy, naturopathy, and computerized lung function tests. Dr. Suresh Goyal, Director of the Department of Pulmonology, Allergy and Sleep Medicine at Shalby Multispecialty Hospital, Mohali, and his team assessed people's lung capacity and provided expert consultation.
In addition, a team of experienced doctors provided consultations in medicine, cardiology, orthopedics, dermatology, ENT, homeopathy, Ayurveda, naturopathy, acupressure, gynecology, and physiotherapy. Free medicines and eyeglasses were also distributed to those in need. The Human Welfare Complex also provided a cold water stall for the attendees. Local residents praised the organizers for providing various health check-up facilities under one roof and expressed their gratitude to the Human Welfare Complex and also thanked the chief guest, Jasbir Singh Bunty. On this occasion, many dignitaries including Rajkumar Sharma, Goyal Pradhan Sanatan Dharma Mandir and Dharampal Sharma of Manav Kalyan Parisar, the main organizer of the program were present.
