Chandigarh 6 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The United Employees Front, UT and M.C. Under the banner of Chandigarh Administration, Municipal Corporation and regular, daily wage, contract, outsourcing, crèche workers, Anganwadi and mid-day meal workers working in various boards organized a huge and successful protest rally yesterday in Sector 23 in support of their pending demands. Once again through this rally, the Deputy Commissioner sent a memorandum to the administrator.
Through the rally, the employees expressed deep anger at the lax attitude of the Chandigarh administration, boards and municipal corporation towards the resolution of their demands and warned that if the long-pending demands are not resolved soon, the movement will be made more extensive and decisive. The entire leadership of the United Workers' Front expressed their sincere gratitude to all departments and workers and said that the unprecedented solidarity of the workers has made it clear that now the workers are fully ready to organize and fight for their rights.
