Chandigarh 21 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The union has deferred the protest scheduled for tomorrow, July 22, 2026, for the next 15 days after the CPDL management agreed to most of the demands and assured their implementation within a specific timeframe. During a two-and-a-half-hour meeting held today between CPDL and union office-bearers, assurances were given regarding employee promotions, absorbing contract workers onto the company rolls, implementing circulars for time-bound promotion scales and ACP, converting part-time staff to full-time roles, and providing uniforms, education allowances, safety equipment, and raincoats. Commitments were also made to implement revised DC rates, resolve issues related to APAR filing, provide risk duty and shift duty allowances along with electricity allowances to field staff, and immediately clear all outstanding employee dues. Demand letter submitted to DC Mohali Komal Mittal
S.A.S.Nagar 21 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : State Press Secretary of BJP Punjab, Hardev Singh Ubha, along with his wife and Councilor (MC) of Ward No. 41 of Municipal Corporation Mohali, Gurpreet Kaur Ubha, today met Deputy Commissioner Mohali Komal Mittal and raised important public interest issues related to Ward No. 41 and its management. He brought to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner that under Ward No. 41 Wave Estate Sector-85, Sector-86, Sector-88, Sambalki and Nanu Majra, the local people are facing huge problems due to the very poor condition of sanitation, sewerage problem, drainage of rain water, inadequate supply of drinking water, bad street lights and lack of other basic facilities. He demanded that all these problems should be permanently resolved as soon as possible.
On this occasion, the issue of alleged illegal occupation of panchayat/government land without bidding was also prominently raised. Hardev Singh Ubbha demanded that a high-level, fair and timely investigation be conducted in this case so that it is clear who did this alleged capture and with whose protection or connivance. If during the investigation any person, officer or any other party is found involved in this alleged conspiracy or illegal activity, strict action should be taken against him as per law and Panchayat/Government land should be released immediately.
Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal listened to all the issues seriously and instructed to take necessary action after talking to the officials of the concerned departments on the spot. He assured that appropriate action will be taken as per the rules in all cases related to public interest. On this occasion, Hardev Singh Ubha said that solving the problems of the people of Ward No. 41 and protecting the government property is his first priority. He said that his struggle for public service, transparency and development will continue and every issue related to public interest will be raised with full determination on every platform.
