80th Independence Day celebrated at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh

Chandigarh 15 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great patriotic fervour, enthusiasm and pride. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, filling the school campus with a deep sense of patriotism and national pride. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Paramjit Singh, President, Local Management Committee; Inderjeet Singh, Vice-President, Local Management Committee; Hardeep Singh, Member, Local Management Committee; and Ravinder Singh, Member, Local Management Committee, whose presence added dignity and grandeur to the occasion.

The cultural programme began with the National Song, followed by inspiring speech. The students presented a vibrant array of patriotic songs, group songs, musical and dance performances, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride and enthusiasm. The highlight of the celebration was a powerful theatrical presentation titled “Je Azadi Bol Sakdi”, which beautifully portrayed the true essence of freedom and reminded everyone of the immense sacrifices and struggles endured by countless brave souls to secure the freedom we cherish today. The poignant performance captivated the audience and left a lasting impression.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Paramjit Singh, President, Local Management Committee, congratulated the students and staff for presenting a meaningful and inspiring programme. He appreciated the dedication, creativity and hard work of the entire school fraternity and encouraged the students to become responsible citizens who value the freedom bestowed upon them by the sacrifices of our great national heroes. The Principal, Shama Kukkal also extended her heartfelt congratulations to the students, teachers and the entire staff for their commendable efforts. She appreciated the wonderful presentation and teamwork that made the celebration memorable and reiterated that the spirit of patriotism must be nurtured in every young mind.
