Warring, in a statement issued here today, said that people were peacefully protesting in Ambala and seeking the release of two Sikh youths arrested arbitrarily by the Haryana Police. Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Nayab Singh Saini Inaugurates Eicher’s New Regional Competence Development Centre at Murthal

Murthal 13 August ( PDL ) : Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV)today inaugurated its 11th Regional Competence Development Centre (RCDC) at Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST), Murthal. The centre was inaugurated by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Haryana Nayab Singh Saini, in the presence of senior government officials, academic leaders, and VECV representatives. Established in partnership with DCRUST, the facility will serve as a centre of excellence for automotive technology learning and skill development. With the addition of the Murthal facility, Eicher Trucks and Buses now operates 11 Regional Competence Development Centres across India, supporting both automotive education and competency development initiatives for its dealer network. The centre has been designed as an experiential learning hub that provides students, faculty members, and industry participants with hands-on exposure to contemporary and emerging commercial vehicle technologies. The centre combines classroom learning with practical training through advanced learning systems, digital content, simulation-based modules, and live vehicle demonstrations.

The centre will strengthen technical capability across our service network, enhancing customer experience through improved vehicle uptime and operational efficiency.”

The facility features dynamic driveline models, engine and aggregate sections, electrical and diagnostics laboratories, a dedicated Eicher Pro X vehicle corner, an automotive technology evolution gallery, a vehicle inspection pit, and VECV's Training on Wheels (TOW) unit. Learners will also have access to advanced training aids, including pneumatic system models, LNG diagnostic boards, gamified learning modules, e-learning platforms and a library of more than 700 multilingual micro-learning videos. The students will get exposure to a wide range of emerging automotive technologies, including electric vehicles (EVs), mechatronics, advanced powertrains, automated transmission systems, vehicle electronics, on-board diagnostics (OBD), telematics, connected vehicle technologies, BS VI systems, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), hybrid technologies, alternative fuels such as CNG and LNG, HVAC systems, e-axles, and advanced diagnostic processes.

The new facility will serve dealerships across Delhi-NCR, Haryana, and Western Uttar Pradesh, supporting the competency development requirements of nearly 50 dealershipsin one of India's most important commercial vehicle markets. Spread across approximately 7,900 sq. ft., the centre houses modern classrooms, advanced workshops, vehicle practice bays, diagnostic equipment, special tools, technology learning resources and the latest heavy-duty and light and medium-duty commercial vehicle training platforms. Approximately 150 students annually from DCRUST's Mechanical, Electrical and Agricultural Engineering streams will benefit from the facility. In addition, Eicher Trucks and Buses’ Training on Wheels initiative will reach nearly 600 students every year across other technical institutions in the region through awareness and orientation programmes on emerging automotive technologies.Through this long-term partnership with DCRUST, Eicher Trucks and Buses’ aims to strengthen the industry's talent pipeline while supporting a more capable service ecosystem that delivers greater uptime and productivity for customers.
