International Sustainable Art Exhibition brings together artists from India and abroad
Chandigarh 29 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The three-day 'International Sustainable Art Exhibition' was organized at Punjab Lalit Kala Academy, Sector 16 in collaboration with Dr. Pushpinder Kaur, organization 'Social Substance' and 'Kala Fusion' Chandigarh. The second day of this exhibition, which will run till August 30, was inaugurated by the chief guest Baljeet Kaur (President, Punjab Pradesh Mahila Congress) and Sumit Dua (President, Punjab Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh). Special guest on this occasionProf. Paramjit Singh, former Registrar, PU, Dr. Sharanjit Singh, former Director, NIPER, Mohali, Ravinder Singh Billa, former Advisory Member, Minority Commission, Samrita Kaur Gill, IRS, Additional Commissioner, CGST, Ludhiana, Puneet Madan and Convener, Dr. Arun Bansal were present along with many dignitaries from the art world.
During the inaugural ceremony, the melodious performance of renowned violinist Mandeep Singh from Chandigarh filled the entire atmosphere with positivity and enthusiasm. More than 64 professional and emerging artists from India's West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, along with Singapore and Canada, have participated in this international exhibition. Beautiful stalls of charcoal art, waste out of best, photography, micro mosaic work, art and craft, resin art, water colour, sculpture, realistic art work, embroidery art work, velvet yarn, textile waste art work, mandala art, sustainable art and paper mache art work etc. have been set up in the exhibition. Puneet Madan informed that on Sunday this exhibition will be open for the general public from 11 am to 7 pm at Punjab Kala Bhawan (Lalit Kala Academy campus).
