Teej festival celebrated with great enthusiasm and fanfare at The Royal Global School
Chandigarh 10 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Teej festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm, joy and traditional fervor at The Royal Global School, Bhikhi-Mansa. A fascinating glimpse of Punjabi culture and folk traditions was witnessed during this event organized in the school premises. The event began with the lighting of the lamp. After this, the students gave splendid cultural performances. The students enthralled the audience with their performances of Giddha, Bhangra, Kikkali, folk songs, Suhag, Sithani and Punjabi poems. Mehndi competition and Miss Teej competition were also organized during the event. The students beautifully showcased their creativity, confidence, talent and traditional attire. In the Miss Teej competition, Navjot Kaur secured first, Damanpreet Kaur second and Sehajpreet Kaur third position. The winning students won everyone's hearts with their captivating performances and amazing self-confidence.
On this occasion, the chief guest, Naina, highly appreciated the students' performances and said, "Teej is a symbol of our rich cultural heritage and traditions." The enthusiasm and confidence with which the students presented our folk traditions is highly commendable. "Such events not only connect children to their cultural roots, but also play an important role in honing and developing their talents."
