Chandigarh 29 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today cautioned the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann against taking any action against the striking employees, warning him that this might well prove to be his last day as the Chief Minister of the state. In an informal interaction with reporters here today, Warring asserted that protest was a democratic right of the employees as long as they were doing it lawfully. “You cannot intimidate and bully them using the threats of action”, he warned, while challenging the Chief Minister to try his authority of acting against the employees. “IT will have far reaching consequences for the Chief Minister which he must never have imagined”, he warned.
Replying to another question about not being present at the party’s Rakhar Puni conference in Baba Bakala on Friday, he said that it is not necessary that all the senior leaders will be present at all the places all the time. He said there were many other senior leaders who did not attend. Asked to react on senior party leader Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa’s reference to some “sleeper cells” and “compromised leaders” within the Congress, Warring said, he would meet him (Randhawa) and ask him as about whom he was talking and whether he was talking about those meeting union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.He agreed with Randhawa that there are “sleeper cells” in all the parties and we must identify and expose them as they do more damage to the party than the political rivals and the opponents.
