Chandigarh/S.A.S.Nagar September 5 (Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal): The Chandigarh Morcha being run by the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha Punjab continued for the fifth day today. Despite heavy rain, the farmer activists raised the voice of their morcha by holding banners and flags of farmers' demands on the Airport Road from 5 to 7 pm. Earlier today, a stage was run for three hours in the morcha's pandal. Today, the stage proceedings were run by the presidium consisting of Harinder Singh Lakhowal, Prem Singh Bhangu, Jatinder Singh Chhina, Dalvir Singh Sidhupur, Veer Singh Barwa, Kanwalpreet Singh Pannu and Nachhattar Singh Jaito. Addressing the gathering, various speakers said that although the administration is repeatedly asking for talks with the Punjab government, the attitude of the Punjab government seems to be evasive.
It is worth mentioning that yesterday, the administration had sought an extension to hold talks with the government till today. Today, the leaders of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha have decided to discuss the matter in their meeting tomorrow due to the lack of response from the Punjab government. Today's meeting of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha was chaired by Baldev Singh Nihalgarh, Harjinder Singh Tanda and Sukhdev Singh Arayanwala. The gathering held in the pandal was addressed today by Balbir Singh Rajewal, Raminder Singh Patiala, Malook Singh Hirke, Bogh Singh Mansa, Baldev Singh Bhairupa Prem Singh Bhang, Harnek Singh Mahima, Baldev Singh Nihalgarh Gurvinder Singh Dhillon, Dr. Satnam Singh Ajnala, Dhanwant Singh Khatraye Kalan, Lakhanpal Sharma, Balwinder Singh Malhi Nangal, Kanwalpreet Singh Pannu, Gurmeet Singh Mahima, Buta Singh Chakar, Paramveer Singh Chak Mahi, Buta Singh Shadipur, Sukhdev Singh Arayanwala, Jangveer Singh Chauhan, Balwinder Singh Raju Aulakh and Harbhajan Singh Buttar. The stage was conducted by Gurpartap Singh, Tarsem Singh Hirke, Ratan Singh Dhad, Master Niranjan Singh and Kulwant Singh Maulviwala.
