Reacting to the proposed ‘yatra’ of the BJP against drugs in Punjab, Warring said, it is indeed a fact that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has not only failed to curb the drugs, but has added to the problem. Devotees Observe Uttam Mardav Dharma with Devotion on the Second Day of Dashlakshan Parv
Abhishek, Shantidhara and Special Religious Worship Held at Shri Digamber Jain Mandir
Chandigarh 17 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The second day of the sacred Dashlakshan Parv was observed with devotion and spiritual fervour at Shri Digamber Jain Mandir, Sector 27-B, Chandigarh. The day’s religious worship was dedicated to Uttam Mardav Dharma, the Jain virtue of humility and freedom from pride and ego.According to Jain philosophy, Uttam Mardav Dharma teaches a person to give up pride, arrogance and excessive attachment to status, wealth, knowledge, beauty or achievements, and to cultivate humility, simplicity and respect for all living beings. True spiritual progress comes through overcoming ego and turning inward towards the purity of the soul. The virtue of Mardav encourages individuals to remain humble, compassionate and balanced in their conduct towards others.
The Pratham Abhishek of the Moolnayak Bhagwan was performed by Indermal Jain and Chanda Jain. The Pratham Shantidhara was performed by Anil Jain and Madhu Jain. The Dwitiya Shantidhara was performed by Rishabh Jain and Yash Jain of Mohali, along with Dinesh Jain and Swati Jain of Bundi, Rajasthan. The religious roles for the day were performed with devotion by the participating devotees. Ashok Jain performed the role of Yagyanayak. The role of Soudharmendra was performed by Sant Kumar Jain and Neelam Jain, while Subhash Jain performed the role of Kuber Indra.
The office-bearers and members of the temple committee actively participated in the religious programme. Those present included President Dharam Bahadur Jain, Vice President Advocate Adarsh Jain, General Secretary Sant Kumar Jain and Cashier Raja Bahadur Singh Jain, along with other committee members and devotees. The devotees offered prayers and worship with the spirit of self-purification and spiritual upliftment. The second day of Dashlakshan Parv provided an opportunity for everyone to reflect upon the importance of humility, to overcome ego and pride, and to develop an attitude of equality and respect towards all living beings. The temple premises remained filled with devotion and spiritual enthusiasm throughout the programme.
