Free Medical Camp Organized at Ayushman Arogya Kendra; 798 People Benefit
S.A.S.Nagar 16 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Advancing the national mission of 'Healthy People, Healthy India', a mega free Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medical camp was organized today at Ayushman Arogya Kendra, Phase-9, Mohali, in collaboration with the Ministry of Ayush.Sharing details of the event, camp in-charge Dr. Japneet Sharma stated that the camp was organized under the guidance and support of Dr. Raman Khanna (Director, Directorate of Ayurveda, Punjab) and Dr. Jyoti Babbar (District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer). The camp was formally inaugurated by the District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer.On this occasion, a team of renowned and experienced doctors conducted detailed health check-ups for the patients.
The medical team included Dr. Japneet Sharma, Dr. Ashima Sharma, and Dr. Hardeep Singh. They were supported by pharmacists Vipan and Harmesh, while Yoga instructors Baljeet Singh, Kavita, and Karamjit Singh taught the patients tips for a healthy lifestyle.During the camp, 442 patients were examined in the Ayurvedic OPD and 356 patients in the Homeopathic OPD, and free medicines were distributed. Additionally, a free blood sugar (diabetes) test facility was provided to all visitors.
Along with the health camp, a special tree plantation drive was conducted, under which around 100 medicinal and shady plants were distributed to the patients. These plants were provided by Baldev Singh Sandhu, a retired Executive Engineer who has made significant contributions to keeping Chandigarh green ('The City Beautiful') by planting thousands of trees.Following the successful conclusion of the camp, Ayushman Arogya Kendra expressed gratitude to all the doctors and supporting staff for their spirit of service. The entire team was honored and presented with potted plants as mementos.
