Punjab-style Kabaddi has produced many great and powerful players. Ajaib Singh Chattha, Chairman, Jagat Punjabi Sabha, Canada, informed that in this historic event, more than 200 former Kabaddi players will be brought together on one stage and honoured. Punjab-style Kabaddi has produced many great and powerful players. Famous players of their time, Bansa Dhandowalia, Rasala, Tara, Dhandi and Surjit, still share memories of the golden era of Kabaddi and stories related to the game. Their experiences are an invaluable heritage of the history of Kabaddi. Promoters have also made a significant contribution to encouraging Kabaddi and promoting players. Promoters like Dalip Singh Grewal, Mukhtiar Singh, Balbir Singh Sankaria and Mohinder Singh Mor have rendered valuable services for the development and promotion of Kabaddi. The honour and respect for those who play and make others play Kabaddi was there before, is there today, and will always remain in the future. With this thinking, Jagat Punjabi Sabha Canada has made an effort to take the achievements of veteran players, coaches and promoters to the new generation.On this occasion, a historic book titled "Kabaddi Players (1950-2000)" will also be prepared. In this book, the photographs, biographies, sports achievements and contributions to Kabaddi of players, coaches and promoters will be recorded. During the event, documentary films prepared about the life and sports journey of many famous players, coaches and promoters will also be shown.
