Reacting to the proposed ‘yatra’ of the BJP against drugs in Punjab, Warring said, it is indeed a fact that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab has not only failed to curb the drugs, but has added to the problem. Chandigarh 11 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The programme was organised by the Student Counselling Cell (SCC), PEC, in association with the Dramatics Club, PEC, and the Art and Photographic Club, PEC. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about suicide prevention, emotional well-being, and the importance of seeking timely psychological support.
Through a powerful and engaging street performance, students conveyed the importance of recognising signs of emotional distress, listening with empathy, extending support to individuals facing difficult times, and fostering open conversations around mental health. The performance also sought to challenge the stigma associated with mental health concerns and encourage individuals to seek professional support without hesitation.
The programme reinforced the message that suicide prevention is a collective responsibility, and that timely support, empathetic listening, and meaningful conversations can make a significant difference in someone's life. The initiative reflects PEC's continued commitment to promoting mental health awareness, emotional resilience, and holistic student well-being on campus.
