Representatives Meet MC Commissioner Over Sewerage and Public Issues in Hallo Majra
Chandigarh 7 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Social worker Arvind Singh and former Sarpanch Tejinder Singh met the Municipal Corporation Commissioner to raise various public issues concerning Hallo Majra, Ward No. 20. During the meeting, they discussed the problems faced by residents in detail. The proposed sewerage line project costing approximately ₹2.75 crore in Hallo Majra was discussed on priority. They also raised the demand for laying a new sewerage line in the lane leading towards the Ravidas Temple near Kheri Temple.
The Municipal Corporation Commissioner adopted a positive approach and assured them that both sewerage-related works would be taken up at the earliest. Issues related to sanitation and drinking water supply in Hallo Majra were also discussed, and the Commissioner assured that necessary improvements would be made soon. Arvind Singh said that the Commissioner informed them that he regularly receives updates regarding the problems of the area and is keeping a close watch on them. Despite his busy schedule, the Commissioner listened to the issues seriously and also assured them that he would visit Hallo Majra next month.Arvind Singh and former Sarpanch Tejinder Singh expressed their gratitude to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner and hoped that, in accordance with the assurances given, work on the sewerage lines, sanitation and drinking water-related issues would begin on the ground at the earliest.
