Chandigarh 20 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today said attempts by the ruling Aam Admi Party (AAP) to spread a false narrative regarding Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s deposition at Sri Akal Takht Sahib and its attempt to stage dharnas against the Shiromani Akali Dal had boomeranged. Addressing a press conference here, SAD Chief Spokesman Arshdeep Singh Kler said AAP had attempted to gherao and stage protest at district headquarters of the SAD but its attempts failed miserably as they could not muster support of requisite numbers despite help from the police force. He said the videos emerging from different districts of the state had made it clear that only a meagre number of AAP workers assembled on the call of the party making the entire attempt a flop show. Chandigarh 28 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The newly elected Branch Management Committee of the Chandigarh branch of ICAI has been declared. The new team will work with the objective of strengthening professional excellence, member engagement, and academic activities. CA Sahil Garg has been elected as Chairman. CA Rachit Goyal has been appointed as Vice Chairman, and CA Sahil Mittal has been given the responsibility of Secretary. The financial affairs of the branch will be managed by CA Amanjot Singh as Treasurer.
Additionally, CA Sanjeev Kumar has been appointed as Chairman of NICASA (Northern India Chartered Accountants Students’ Association). He will focus particularly on advancing training, mentorship, and skill development programs for CA students. The new management committee has expressed confidence that during its tenure, it will provide maximum benefits to members and students through seminars, workshops, professional development programs, and networking opportunities.
