During the annual tournament concluded on Sunday at nearby village Laudimajra, where Gurdaspur claimed the second position while Fatehgarh Sahib finished third. Outstanding Gatka players from different categories were honoured for their excellence during the championship. In the sub-junior category, Baljot Singh of Rupnagar was adjudged the Best Gatkabaaz. Dilraj Singh of Amritsar secured the Best Player award in the junior category while Amanpreet Singh of Fatehgarh Sahib earned top honours in the senior category. S.A.S.Nagar 12 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : CP67 Mall turned into a vibrant celebration space as students from Annie’s Kindergarten visited the mall to experience the festive spirit of Baisakhi. The young learners were welcomed into a thoughtfully curated Baisakhi setup that beautifully captured the essence of Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. Surrounded by traditional décor and festive elements, the children got an engaging glimpse into the significance of the harvest festival.
Adding to the excitement, the students participated in a series of fun-filled games and interactive activities, making the experience both enjoyable and educational. The initiative aimed to introduce them to the true spirit of Baisakhi—joy, gratitude and togetherness. A key highlight of the visit was the art and craft session organized at CP67, where children showcased their creativity through colorful Baisakhi-themed creations. The activity encouraged self-expression while helping them connect with cultural traditions in a meaningful way.
