Balbir Singh Sidhu Slams Punjab Government Over Power Crisis and Failure to Supply Canal Water to Tail-End Areas Punjab Government Must Immediately Resolve the Problems of Farmers and the General Public : Balbir Singh Sidhu S.A.S.Nagar 30 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Former Punjab Health Minister and senior Congress leader Balbir Singh Sidhu launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the severe power and irrigation crisis in the state, alleging that its false claims and administrative failures have pushed farmers and ordinary citizens into extreme hardship. He said that during the crucial paddy transplantation season, farmers are receiving neither adequate canal water nor sufficient electricity, putting thousands of acres of crops at risk of drying up. Sidhu stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly claimed that canal water has been ensured up to the tail-end areas of the irrigation network. However, the ground reality is entirely different....

Strong Social Message Wrapped in Clean Comedy — “Dama Dam Mast Kalandar”

S.A.S.Nagar 30 April ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The teaser of the Punjabi film “Dama Dam Mast Kalandar” was unveiled at a grand event held at Mohali Walk. The film’s star cast interacted with the media, sharing their experiences and expressing excitement about the project. The event was attended by key members of the film, including lead actor King B Chauhan, actress Malvi Malhotra, producer Vicky Kamboj, director Sukhveer Singh, writer Sumit Bhatt, senior actress Anita Devgan, Rupinder Rupi, comedy artists Preetish Narula and Mintu Kapa, along with Head Project Designer Manraj Rai.

Shot across scenic locations in Australia, the much-anticipated film is directed by Sukhveer Singh and written by Sumit Bhatt. It is produced under the banners of Star Moon Film Productions and Chakora Productions. Gen-Z star King B Chauhan will be seen in the lead role, alongside Malvi Malhotra in a pivotal character. Speaking at the event, both actors shared insights into their roles and filming journey, highlighting that the film blends entertainment with a strong social message.
Produced by Vicky Kamboj and Prabh Goraya, the film features cinematography by Suresh Babu, music by J.K., choreography by Deyush Mehra, and editing by Varinder Singh Saini. Positioned as a complete entertainment package, the film has been completed on schedule and is set for a worldwide release on May 22, 2026. On the occasion, King B Chauhan said that “Dama Dam Mast Kalandar” will not only entertain audiences but also make them reflect. He added that the aim is to promote Punjabi culture on a global platform while effectively highlighting important social issues through cinema.
