BJP candidate, lost by one vote, accused the Mohali administration of working under the Government and using force

Chandigarh 30 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Sukhdeep Kaur, the BJP candidate contesting the municipal corporation elections from Ballomajra village (Ward No. 47) in Mohali, has accused the Mohali administration and police of using force and working under the government during the election results. 

Sukhdeep Kaur, accusing the Mohali administration and police, stated that during the election results announced on May 29th, she was declared the loser by one vote to AAP candidate Parminder Kaur. Out of 1,624 polled votes, she received 424, while Parminder Kaur received 425 and was declared the winner. She objected to the counting process with SDM Damandeep Kaur, Shaminder Singh, and others. However, Damanpreet Kaur ignored her request and called the police to force her out of the hall. They created a huge uproar and protested against the high-handedness of the administration and police force, but no solution was found.

Sukhdeep Kaur stated that the government's high-handedness was so severe that they refused to even consider getting her signature on the winning certificate given to the winning candidate. She stated that these municipal elections were marked by utter arrogance and hooliganism on the part of the government. The AAP government left no stone unturned to ensure the victory of its candidates. The government enlisted the full support of the local administration and police force. She demanded that fair elections be held again in her ward so that only the right and appropriate candidate would win.
