Massive wave of public support marks Day 1 of Jhinjer's 'Bolega Ghanaur, Badlega Daur' foot march

Ghanaur 30 May ( PDL ) : Youth Akali Dal President and Ghanaur Halqa Incharge Sarabjeet Singh Jhinjer on Saturday launched his paidal march titled 'Bolega Ghanaur, Badlega Daur' from Gurudwara Nimm Sahib, Patshahi Novi, at village Aakar. The march, which will continue till June 8, is set to cover over 100 villages across the Ghanaur constituency. Moving from village to village on foot and meeting residents, Jhinjer addressed gatherings at multiple locations, listening to the grievances of the people and assuring them of the Shiromani Akali Dal's support. During one such gathering, Jhinjer raised serious concerns over the stoppage of MGNREGA work in village Aakar, stating that the scheme has been completely stalled for the past one year, leaving daily wage workers without any source of income.

In an emotional moment during the march, Jhinjer spoke about meeting a distressed mother who broke down in tears while sharing her problems, saying that no one had approached her earlier to hear her out. "Today, I visited that woman along with my entire cadre, with a heavy heart, and listened to every word of her grievances," he said, adding that such stories reflect the ground reality of how the current government has failed the common people. Jhinjer made a direct appeal to the residents of Ghanaur, urging them not to suffer in silence. He said that whether it is a personal problem or a public issue, people should come forward and bring it to his attention so that he can raise their voices at a higher level. Taking a strong political stance, Jhinjer reminded the public of the contributions made by the Shiromani Akali Dal towards farmers, including free electricity and free tubewells, stating that every possible facility was extended to the farming community under SAD's governance.
He further said that it is for the first time in history that farmers were called for a meeting and subsequently arrested by police under the current Aam Aadmi Party government. Slamming the ruling party, Jhinjer said, "This march is to reinstate the dignity and status of Ghanaur and to tell the people the truth — that AAP is a trolley chor party." The march received a warm response from the public, with residents from several villages joining Jhinjer and pledging their support to the Akali Dal. Among those present were Jasmer Singh Lachhru, Member SGPC; Surjit Singh Garhi, Member SGPC; Gurpreet Singh Raju Khanna, Core Committee Member, Shiromani Akali Dal; Harkesh Singh Mohri, President Haryana Shiromani Akali Dal; Amarinder Singh Bajaj, Former Mayor; Amit Singh Rathi, District President Urban; Jaspal Singh Bittu Chatha, Halqa In-charge; Kabir Das, Halqa In-charge Shatrana; Makkhan Singh Lalka, Halqa In-charge Nabha; Amrit Singh Langh, District President Rural; Karan Sahni, District President Urban Youth Wing;  Sukhdev Singh, District President BC Wing; Gurdeep Singh Shekhpura, District President BC Wing; Amarinder Billa, District President BC Wing; Harbans Singh, District President SC Wing Patiala Rural; Tejinderpal Singh Sandhu; all Circle Presidents of Halqa Ghanaur; and senior leaders and Youth Wing members.
