KHAIRA DEMANDS THAT THE "MASK VIDEO" BE SENT TO CFSL CHANDIGARH FOR INDEPENDENT FORENSIC EXAMINATION
Delhi/Chandigarh/Jalandhar 26 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjab Congress leader and Bholath MLA Sukhpal Singh Khaira today demanded that the "mask video" at the centre of the ongoing controversy be sent immediately to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Chandigarh, for a fresh and impartial forensic examination, insisting that the truth be settled by an independent institution and not by what he called the "managed" reports of the Punjab Government.
"There is one simple way to end all doubt — send the mask video to CFSL Chandigarh and let science speak," said Khaira. "I do not ask the people to take my word. I ask for an independent forensic examination by a credible central laboratory that answers to no political master."
Khaira said the people of Punjab could no longer be expected to rely on the conflicting reports placed before them — with the examination relied upon by **Sri Akal Takht Sahib** confirming the video's authenticity, while the Punjab Government leaned on disputed Gurugram lab reports to give the Chief Minister a clean chit. "If the Chief Minister and his government have nothing to hide, they should welcome this examination, not fear it. Their reluctance to face CFSL Chandigarh speaks louder than any report they produce," he said.
