Rally and protest by the Anti-Fascist Attacks Front
Patiala/Chandigarh 22 June ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Under the right given by the 'Anti-Fascist Attacks Front' to protest at district centers across Punjab against the anti-people fascist policies being implemented in the country by the Bharatiya Janata Party-led central and state governments, CPI, RMPI and Lok Sangharsh Committee today held a rally under the flyover in front of the local old bus stand and protested in the markets. Addressing the rally on this occasion, CPI State Secretary Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal, RMPI Darshan Belumajra and Lok Sangharsh Committee leader Raminder Singh Patiala said that by implementing fascist policies by the BJP and RSS government, the economy of various people is being harmed while the rights of the states are being continuously robbed.
The termination of Punjab's membership from the Bhakra Beas Management Board should be seen as a robbery on the rights of the states. The leaders said that after winning the Bengal elections, the BJP is planning to occupy Punjab by every legal and illegal means. The leaders said that the Modi government has completely failed in the matter of foreign policy due to not taking a balanced position against the imperialist attack on Iran by the US-Israeli alliance and bowing down to the bullying of US President Donald Trump, for which the common people of India are paying the penalty in the form of inflation.
Speaking on the occasion, Amandeep Khiowali, Kulwant Maulviwala, Amarjit Ghanaur, Advocate Gurbinder Singh Dhuma and Brij Bhushan Barnala demanded that the fascist and anti-people policies be withdrawn, the terminated membership of Punjab in the Bhakra Beas Management Board be restored, the Electricity Amendment Bill and the Seed Bill be repealed and the increase in gas and oil prices be withdrawn. The leaders appealed to all organizations and opposition political parties to build broad unity and mobilize major struggles to reverse these policies.
