S.A.S.Nagar 10 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The Youth Akali Dal (YAD) and the Students Organization of India (SOI) today held a massive dharna outside the office of the Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) headquarters here to protest against large scale irregularities in the conduct of the paper for selection of 197 Excise and Taxation Inspectors besides the cancellation of the selection of 343 psychologists for de-addiction and rehabilitation centres. The dharna, which was led by YAD president Sarabjit Singh Jhinjer and SOI president Ranbir Singh Rana, witnessed youth protesting outside the PSSSB office for two hours. MY Bharat District Advisory Committee Reviews Measures to Strengthen Youth Engagement in Chandigarh
Chandigarh 9 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The District Advisory Committee (MYB-DAC) meeting of MY Bharat, Chandigarh, was held today under the chairmanship of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (South), Chandigarh, who chaired the meeting as the nominee of the Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh. The meeting reviewed the progress of MY Bharat initiatives Chandigarh and discussed measures to further strengthen youth participation through educational institutions. Representatives from various government departments and educational institutions participated in the deliberations.
It has been discussed to direct all educational institutions to ensure the registration of their students on the MY Bharat portal. The institutions will also be requested to appoint a Nodal Officer and Campus Ambassadors to facilitate youth engagement, promote volunteerism, and ensure effective implementation of MY Bharat activities at the institutional level.
The Committee emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among stakeholders to maximize youth participation in nation-building initiatives and experiential learning opportunities available through the MY Bharat platform. The meeting concluded with a commitment from all concerned departments and institutions to work collectively towards strengthening the MY Bharat ecosystem in Chandigarh and encouraging greater participation of young people in community development and volunteer-driven initiatives.
