Priority should be given to the citizens of Punjab in providing government or private employment and purchasing land in Punjab: Didar Singh Sahora

Chandigarh 12 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ): The young boys and girls of Punjab should get maximum employment opportunities in government and private offices and companies and the people of Punjab should get the benefit of Punjab's resources first. Didar Singh Sahora, Vice President Punjab Shiromani Akali Dal Shri Anandpur Sahib, said in a press statement that the youth of Punjab are facing challenges related to lack of employment and agricultural land. He believes that the state's land and employment policies should be such that they prioritize the interests of the residents of Punjab. However, decisions can be taken only in accordance with the Constitution of India and the existing laws to implement any such policies.

Various parties are expressing their views on this matter and public discussion is going on. He said that just as people from Punjab cannot buy land in Himachal Pradesh, similarly no person from any other state should be allowed to buy land etc. in Punjab and neither should any citizen get voter card or Aadhar card etc. made in Punjab. He said that especially the workers from UP and Bihar who come to work in Punjab and commit crimes here. The governments should pay special attention to them. Because the crimes committed by people from UP and Bihar after coming here are proving to be very dangerous for the golden future of Punjab.

He said that so many citizens of UP-Bihar are being settled here under a conspiracy that in the coming time Punjab will become a labor stronghold of UP-Bihar and crime will increase so much that it will be very difficult to control it again. He said that every day in Punjab, somewhere or the other, such incidents are being carried out by Biharis which are proving to be very deadly. Even Punjabis are being killed without any reason just over a petty argument. Especially in Mohali city or in the colonies near the city, many Punjabi youths have been killed by UP-Bihar laborers.

Similarly, many such incidents have taken place in Ludhiana in which workers from UP and Bihar have been seen openly carrying kirpans, rara, knives and other deadly weapons. He said that there have been many incidents of murder of housewives and men by the citizens of UP and Bihar who have kept servants in their homes with the intention of committing thefts. He said that apart from these, all the workers from UP and Bihar come together at once to beat up Punjabi people while Punjabi people do not come together to confront them among themselves. Due to this, attacks on Punjabis by these people have become common.

He said that the government should make a law that these people from UP and Bihar can come only for labor. But their voter card and Aadhaar card cannot be made here permanently. He said that apart from the laborers from UP and Bihar, people from Himachal, Nepal and others also live here. But they do not commit such incidents which cause loss to the farmers or loss of life. They only do their work and raise their children and do not commit crimes etc.

He said that the Shiromani Akali Dal Shri Anandpur Sahib will also take out protest marches on these issues so that people from UP-Bihar do not commit any kind of crime-like incident and the Punjab government can control them and save the atmosphere of Punjab from deteriorating. Because such incidents have also taken place in many places where people from UP, Bihar and Punjab have openly used guns and other weapons and there has been loss of life and property. Therefore, the Punjab government should pay special attention to this and control the increasing crime incidents in Punjab.
