80th Independence Day Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour at O/o CCA, Punjab, Chandigarh
Chandigarh 15 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at the office premises of the Office of the Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Punjab, Chandigarh. Vijendra N. Tandon, Controller of Communication Accounts (CCA), Punjab, Chandigarh, unfurled the National Flag in the presence of officers, officials, staff members and their families. The National Song and National Anthem was sung on the occasion, filling the atmosphere with a deep sense of patriotism and national pride. As part of the celebrations, an informative address was delivered highlighting the significance of Independence Day and the remarkable journey of the nation since Independence. The gathering was reminded of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and the invaluable contribution of national leaders in shaping an independent, democratic and progressive India. Emphasis was also laid on the responsibilities of citizens in upholding constitutional values and contributing towards the progress and development of the country.
A number of games and recreational activities were also organised for the staff members and their children, providing an opportunity for everyone to participate and celebrate the occasion in a joyful and spirited manner. The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation and added to the festive atmosphere to the celebrations. A significant highlight of the programme was the inauguration of the Library in the office premises by Vijendra N. Tandon, CCA Punjab. The Library is intended to provide officers and employees with access to world class books and reading material, encourage a culture of reading and learning, and promote continuous knowledge enhancement and sharing among the staff. The programme also featured cultural performances by staff members and their children, which added colour, enthusiasm and a festive spirit to the celebrations. The performances reflected the spirit of patriotism, national unity and the rich cultural diversity of the country. Prizes were distributed to staff members in recognition of their outstanding work performance and dedicated service. Children who participated in the cultural programme and games were also felicitated with gifts in appreciation of their enthusiastic participation.Addressing the gathering, CCA Punjab, appreciated the dedication, sincerity and commitment of the officers and employees in discharging their responsibilities. He called upon all officers and employees to continue working with integrity, discipline and a strong sense of public service. He emphasised that every citizen has an important role to play in nation-building and urged everyone to contribute towards our Hon’ble Prime Minister vision of Viksit Bharat through collective effort, innovation, efficiency and dedication. The celebrations concluded on a patriotic and positive note, with a renewed commitment by all present to uphold the ideals of the nation and contribute meaningfully towards its continued progress and prosperity.
