BRICS CCI Punjab hosts business meet with Russian delegates, explores trade and investment opportunities
Chandigarh 26 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI), Punjab Chapter, organised a business meeting with a Russian delegation to strengthen trade, investment and business collaboration between Punjab and the Russian Federation. The meeting brought together representatives from the business community and Russian trade and industry sectors, with discussions focusing on expanding bilateral trade, identifying new investment opportunities and creating stronger connections between entrepreneurs and industrialists. Svetlana Savkova, Representative of the Government of Russia and Deputy Director, Export Support Centre of Belgorod Region, said that Russia was keen to develop stronger business relationships with Indian companies and explore opportunities for cooperation in multiple sectors.
“Such business interactions provide an important platform for Indian and Russian entrepreneurs to understand each other’s markets, explore areas of mutual interest and develop long-term partnerships. We look forward to strengthening economic cooperation with businesses from Punjab,” she said. Deepak Shukla, Chandigarh Head of BRICS CCI, said the organisation was committed to creating meaningful international business connections for the region’s entrepreneurs. “Punjab has a strong entrepreneurial base and tremendous potential to expand its global business footprint. Our interaction with the Russian delegation is an important step towards opening new avenues for trade, investment and technology collaboration. BRICS CCI will continue to provide a platform where businesses can connect directly with international partners and convert opportunities into sustainable partnerships,” Shukla said.
The participants also discussed the importance of regular business-to-business interactions, market access and collaboration between industrialists and export-support organisations. The meeting concluded with a focus on taking the discussions forward through structured business engagements and exploring concrete opportunities for cooperation between Punjab-based enterprises and Russian businesses.
