Call for agitation after demands are not met at Sampark center employees' meeting
Union representatives to meet the Director of Communication Technology tomorrow
Chandigarh 9 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : A decision was taken today by Sampark center employees to struggle for the fulfillment of their demands; the meeting was held in Sector 18 under the chairmanship of Union President Manoj Kumar Bhoria. In today's meeting, Union General Secretary Sunil Chauhan presented a proposal regarding the employees' issues.
Which, with immediate effect, to implement DC Rate 2026-27 and in this regard, to pay two percent additional DC Rate, by changing the nomination of employees and giving them the name of Data Entry Operator or Computer Operator or Computer Clerk, Demands such as increasing the ESI limit from Rs 21,000 to Rs 50,000, equal pay for equal work, allotment of government houses to Sampark employees, etc. were sought to be resolved on a priority basis.
In the meeting, apart from all the office bearers of the union, especially the President of the Federation of UT Employees and Workers Chandigarh, Gopal Dutt Joshi, condemned the administration's negligence towards the demands of the employees and Director Information Technology and CEO Spic requested that the revised DC rate and 2% additional DC rate of employees be implemented with immediate effect and other demands should also be resolved by sitting down and talking to the union officials. Finally, it was decided in the meeting that if the demands of the Sampark center employees are not resolved soon, the employees will meet the Information Technology Director tomorrow and register their objection and declare a strike.
