Inauguration of road and walking track development work in Sector 36 Chandigarh 25 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Work on road construction and the development of a walking track, stretching from House Number 205 in Sector 36, Chandigarh, to the small gate of Hibiscus Garden, was inaugurated today. This area had long been a source of trouble for local residents. Waterlogging during the rainy season caused significant difficulties for commuting. Moreover, the rough and inconvenient path posed considerable problems, especially for the elderly and for residents who walked in the Hibiscus Garden during the morning and evening hours. Under this development project, paver tiles will be laid on a road approximately 40 feet wide, and a 6-foot-wide walking track will also be developed alongside it. Chandigarh Postal Division to Hold First Dak Adalat on September 2 to Address Long-Pending Complaints
Chandigarh 25 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Chandigarh Postal Division is organizing its 1st Dak Adalat on 02.09.2026 from 1100 Hours to 1200 Hours in the office of the Senior Supdt. Post Offices, Chandigarh Division, 3rd Floor, GPO Building, Chandigarh.
The said Dak Adalat will be held through C-DOT video conferencing. The Adalat will deal with all types of long pending complaints concerning Postal Services of Chandigarh Postal Division. The complaint must contain full details including reference number, date of letter received earlier from various Postal Authorities and the Mobile number of complainant and forwarded in advance through Speed Post, by hand or through email at email id- dochandigarh.pb@indiapost.gov.in.
The complaint should be addressed to Kumar Sanjeev, Senior Supdt. of Post Offices, Chandigarh Division, Chandigarh-160017 and DAK Adalat must be written on envelope so as to reach on or before 28.08.2026 by Speed Post.
