Grand Celebration of Mukti Parv with the Message of Inner Freedom and Brahmgyan

Freedom from the Bondages of the Mind is True Liberation

Chandigarh 16 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : While the entire nation of India was celebrating Independence Day with patriotism, pride and joy, the Sant Nirankari Mission, on this historic occasion, also conveyed to people the divine message of inner freedom bestowed through Brahmgyan. This festival brings to life the truth that true liberation does not lie in freedom from external restraints, but in attaining self-realisation and God-realisation by becoming free from ignorance, ego and discrimination. On this occasion, a ‘Mukti Parv’ Samagam was also organized at the Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Sector 30-A, Chandigarh, in which a large number of devotees and followers participated. Addressing the gathering, Navneet Pathak, Sanyojak, Chandigarh, said that Independence Day reminds us of the country’s freedom, while Mukti Parv inspires human beings to look within themselves and attain freedom from the vices and bondages of the mind.

This sacred occasion of Mukti Parv was organised in an atmosphere filled with devotion, reverence and joy in the holy presence of Revered Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ji, in front of Nirankari Sarovar, at Ground No. 2, Nirankari Chowk, Burari Road, Delhi. Addressing the devotees on this occasion, Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj stated that true liberation does not lie in freedom from external restraints, but in becoming free from hatred, ego, narrow-mindedness and prejudices. To live with the awareness of the Formless in every breath, and to live with love, devotion and acceptance, is liberation while still alive. Taking inspiration from the life of Mata Savinder Ji, Satguru Mata Ji gave the example of a lighthouse, explaining that whatever the circumstances may be, one should always preserve the light of inner peace, love and positivity. Merely listening to the teachings of the saints, rather than incorporating them into one’s thoughts, actions and life, is not enough; living these teachings is the true spiritual practice and the path to liberation.

On this sacred occasion, the devotees respectfully paid homage and offered their reverential tributes to those great saintly souls whose sacrifice and dedication guided humanity towards the path of liberation. At the same time, special satsangs were also organised on the occasion of ‘Mukti Parv’ at various branches of the Mission across the world, where these great saintly souls were respectfully remembered. It is noteworthy that ‘Mukti Parv’ commenced in the year 1964 in the sacred memory of Jagat Mata Budhwanti Ji. Following the Brahmleen of Shahenshah Baba Avtar Singh Ji in 1969, this day began to be respectfully observed as ‘Shahenshah-Jagatmata Day’. In 1979, the memory of Sant Labh Singh Ji, the first President of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, was also associated with this day, and Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji established it as ‘Mukti Parv’. On this occasion, the devotional life of Nirankari Rajmata Ji and the invaluable teachings imparted by her were also mentioned.

Since 2018, Yugdrishta Mata Savinder Ji has also been respectfully remembered on this sacred occasion. Her life, filled with maternal affection, humility, sacrifice and selfless service, will always remain a source of inspiration, guidance and spiritual energy for the devotees. Alongside this, Satguru Mata Ji made this sacred day an occasion to express gratitude and reverence towards all those devoted followers and dedicated sewadars who selflessly devoted their body, mind and life to the service of the Mission and humanity. Undoubtedly, the essence of Mukti Parv is that just as physical freedom paves the way for the progress and advancement of a nation, similarly, the divine light of Brahmgyan enables human beings to realise their true identity and inspires them to move forward on the sacred path of love and harmony.
