Jadon se Judo : Fifth Consecutive All-Women Ramlila to Begin on October 11
From a six-year-old girl to an 84-year-old woman, participants will portray various characters; AI technology and high-tech sound effects to add a new dimension
Zirakpur 31 August ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : For the fifth consecutive year, Punjab’s Zirakpur will witness a unique Ramlila staged entirely by women. Based on the theme “Jadon Se Judo” (Stay Connected to Your Roots), the 10-day Ramlila will be held from October 11 to 20. Ekta Nagpal, president of the organising committee, said this year’s presentation will come with a new format and identity. For the first time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, modern sound effects and other high-tech elements will be incorporated into the production.
A special feature of the Ramlila will be the participation of women across generations—from a six-year-old girl to an 84-year-old woman, who will portray different characters. Nagpal said the event aims not only to provide women with a platform to showcase their talent but also to connect the younger generation with Indian culture, traditions and their roots. The organisers said they are receiving support from nearby residential societies, while saints and religious leaders will also be invited to bless the event.
