Goldy was detained by the police during Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s visit to Sangrur. Warring said that Goldy had announced in advance that he had certain questions to ask to the Chief Minister. However, much before the Chief Minister’s visit, Goldy was detained and prevented from asking any questions. “I wonder why Bhagwant Mann is afraid of Goldy?” Warring asked, while telling him that today he may be able to use the Punjab Police but within a few months more once the code of conduct is in place, how can he stop people from asking questions. Toronto/Chandigarh 2 August ( Hardev Chauhan/Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The monthly literary event ‘Geet, Ghazal, Shayari’ organized by Jagat Punjabi Sabha Toronto for the promotion of Punjabi language, literature and culture will be held this time on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at 134 Kennedy Road, Toronto (Canada). Ajaib Singh Chatha, Chairman of Jagat Punjabi Sabha Toronto, said that the chief guest of this year's event will be Bal Mukand Sharma. Their presence will make the event special.
