Harinder Har’s New Song ‘Dade Di Paili’ Highlights the Pain of Losing Ancestral Land
S.A.S.Nagar 26 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Punjabi singer Harinder Har, known for his association with Punjabi heritage and culture, released his new song ‘Dade Di Paili’ at a press conference held at the Mohali Press Club today. Colonel Jasdeep Singh Sandhu, Advisor, Civil-Military Affairs, Western Command, attended the event as the special guest.
The song ‘Dade Di Paili’ highlights the emotional connect with Punjab’s soil, ancestral land and rural life. It also portrays the pain of selling land built through the hard work of previous generations, amid the growing attraction of urban lifestyles and migration to foreign countries among the younger generation. Harinder Har has earlier presented several songs highlighting Punjabi heritage, culture and religious sentiments. He has consistently preferred clean and meaningful singing rooted in Punjabi traditions, staying away from vulgarity.
Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Jasdeep Singh Sandhu said that preserving ancestral land was a responsibility. He appealed to the youth to consider staying in the country and taking up agriculture as a profession instead of migrating abroad, while also creating employment opportunities for others. The song has been produced under the guidance of director Gurwinder Baidwan. Its lyrics have been penned by Dev, while the music has been composed by G Sonu. The video has been shot by Kuljit Shergill. The song has been produced and released under the label Harinder Har Music. Actress Jaspreet Kaur, Kamal Sharma, Davinder Kaur Dhillon, Harmanjeet Singh, Gurjinder Singh and Paramjit Pammi Manauli, along with other members of the team associated with the song, were also present at the event.
