Appeal for unity among political and religious parties for the Panth and Punjab : Bibi Satwant Kaur
Panthic Party Council will be expanded soon
Chandigarh 29 September ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Chairperson of the newly established Panthic Council, expressed to the media that the Council's primary objective is to engage sincere political, social, and religious groups dedicated to the Panth, under the sacred guidance of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. She emphasized the importance of unity among these factions to work collaboratively for the upliftment of both the Panth and Punjab. This initiative is being expanded quickly in alignment with Panthic sentiments. Bibi Ji stated that the Panthic Council was formed to protect the broader interests of the Panth and Punjab while serving as a guardian of these interests. She urged political and religious organizations to set aside personal ambitions and unite under a common banner for the greater good of the Panth. This unity is essential to strengthen the political power of the Panth and Punjab, creating a robust platform in accordance with the spirit of the Hukamnama Sahib delivered from Sri Akal Takht Sahib on December 2, 2024. Bibi Ji noted that Sikh politics, particularly in Punjab, is currently in a fragile state, with power fragmented among numerous factions. Given this situation, it appears unlikely that any single group can provide the politically approved leadership needed for the Panth and Punjab. Therefore, she called for all Panthic political parties, religious organizations, intellectuals, and social service groups committed to the Panth and Punjab to come together to address this challenge. Some political parties are attempting to weaken the Panthic power and diminish Punjab's significance. It is the moral responsibility of all Panthic factions in Punjab to unite and counter this trend. The Panthic Council is committed to facilitating this unity and will make sincere efforts to do so on a regular basis. Given the intellectual attacks on the distinctive identity of the Panth and the ongoing violation of human rights by the current government and its police administration, it is crucial for dedicated factions of the Panth and Punjab to come together. As a humble daughter of the Panth and a dedicated member of the Panthic Council, which represents millions within the Sikh community and Punjabi society, I urge all Panthic factions to respond positively while keeping the broader interests of the Panth in mind. To this end, all sincere Panthic factions that are concerned about the challenges facing the Panth and Punjab are kindly requested to submit their valuable suggestions to the Panthic Council’s email address.
