Sikhlens Film Festival Concludes Successfully in Presence of Czech Representative:41 Artists Honoured, 25 Films Screened

Chandigarh 28 February ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : The much-anticipated Sikhlens Film Festival was successfully held on Saturday at Tagore Theatre, bringing international prestige and vibrant participation to the city. The festival witnessed an impressive gathering of global dignitaries, artists, filmmakers, and community leaders. The event was led by Sikhlens Festival Directors — Ojaswwee Sharma (India), Bicky Singh (USA), Gurpreet K. Singh (USA), Nikki Gill (Canada), and Harinder Singh (UK) — who expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response and international collaboration.

Among the distinguished guests were Bal Choda, Lead Engineer and innovator associated with Aston Martin, and hockey legend Kuldeep Singh Bhogal, Uganda and Munich Olympian, whose presence added sporting and technological prominence to the occasion. Adding diplomatic significance, Representing the Czech Republic, Major Guneet Chaudhary, Honorary Consul for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Chandigarh, attended as Special Guest.

From the religious and social sphere, Tejwant Singh Gill, President of Gurudwara Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh, added a spiritual dimension to the gathering. The festival featured screenings of 25 films celebrating Sikh heritage, identity, and global narratives, drawing appreciation from audiences and critics alike. On the occasion, 41 artists were conferred the prestigious “Seva – Sarbat Da Bhala – Chardi Kala” Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to art, culture, and humanitarian service. Ojaswwee Sharma stated that the festival once again succeeded in promoting Sikh heritage and universal values on a global platform, while inspiring youth towards positivity, service, and meaningful community engagement.
