'Smart City' Mohali Claims Exposed: No Three-Phase Power in GMADA Sector-88; Lives at Risk : Hardev Singh Ubbha S.A.S.Nagar 9 July ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Hardev Singh Ubbha, State Press Secretary of BJP Punjab, stated that residents and business owners in GMADA’s Sector-88 are facing severe difficulties due to the negligence of the Punjab government—which makes grand claims about the 'Smart City' project—and the concerned departments. He noted that only single-phase electricity connections are currently available in Sector-88, whereas three-phase power is essential for commercial establishments, showrooms, and other businesses. This lack of infrastructure is causing immense trouble for the business community. Paras Health Panchkula Launches Adult Vaccination Services to Strengthen Preventive Healthcare

Paras Health Panchkula Expands Preventive Care with “Stay Protected. Stay Ahead.” Adult Vaccination Services Campaign

Panchkula 21 May ( Ranjeet Singh Dhaliwal ) : Paras Health Panchkula has launched Adult Vaccination Services to promote preventive healthcare and create awareness about the importance of timely vaccination among adults, senior citizens, and travellers. The services were introduced during an awareness event held at the hospital under the theme “Stay Protected. Stay Ahead.” The vaccination campaign is being led by Dr. Amit Mandal, Senior Director - Pulmonology and Dr. Navneet Arora, Consultant – Infectious Disease at Paras Health Panchkula, who are overseeing and managing the initiative at the hospital.

The newly launched initiative offers a comprehensive range of vaccines for adults, travel and pilgrimage vaccination, and specialized vaccination support for individuals aged 55 years and above. Through the launch, Paras Health Panchkula aims to increase awareness about the importance of adult immunization and encourage preventive healthcare practices across the community. With rising awareness around preventive healthcare and increasing risks of infectious diseases among adults, healthcare experts are emphasizing that vaccination is not limited to childhood alone. Factors such as international travel, lifestyle-related health conditions, ageing, and weakened immunity have increased the importance of adult immunization in preventing serious infections and reducing long-term health complications.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pankaj Mittal, Facility Director, Paras Health Panchkula, said, “Adult vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to prevent several serious infections and protect long-term health. Many adults continue to miss essential vaccines due to a lack of awareness or the belief that immunization is only required during childhood. Through these dedicated services, we want to make vaccination more accessible and encourage people to take timely preventive measures for themselves and their families.”

Dr. Amit Mandal and Dr. Navneet Arora, who are leading the vaccination initiative at Paras Health Panchkula, emphasized the growing need for adult immunization and preventive healthcare awareness. They highlighted that timely vaccination can significantly reduce the risk of severe infections, especially among older adults, individuals with co-morbidities, and frequent travellers.

The newly launched services cover vaccines including Flu, Hepatitis B, HPV, MMR, Tdap (Tetanus), Pneumococcal disease, Shingles (Zoster), Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Yellow Fever, Japanese Encephalitis, Rabies, and Meningococcal vaccines. The initiative also includes travel and pilgrimage vaccination support, along with vaccination guidance for older adults who may face higher risks from infectious diseases. With this launch, Paras Health Panchkula has further expanded its preventive healthcare services for the region and reinforced its focus on community health awareness, early disease prevention, and accessible adult immunization services.
